In My Mailbox (17)

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren that allows us to share the books we’ve received during the week via our purchases, review copies, library checkouts, borrowing from friends, etc.

In addition to my Comic-Con haul, here is what I got this week!

Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan (for review) – Thanks to St. Martin’s Griffin!
Wildefire by Karsten Knight (purchased) – My finished copy. My review is here if you want to check that out.
Supernaturally by Kiersten White (purchased) – I’m excited to get to it, but also pretty sad that it’s going to be a few days before I do. Soon, my lovely, soon.

My TBR pile is getting out of control…And I’m running out of shelf space…AHHH!!!

Comic-Con Recap

Except not really a recap because I stupidly didn’t take many photos. So, I’m just sticking to the bookish/author stuff here…

This week I got:

Lips Touch: Three Times by Laini Taylor (purchased) – I’m going to the Comic-Con YA panel that Laini is participating in later this month (with some other AMAZING authors, squee!) and, since I hadn’t read her book yet, I figured I would pick this up for myself. I’ve heard great things I’m about her writing so I’m excited to dive in.
Two-Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt (purchased) – Cialina made me curious about this one with her review and now, after having read Sometimes It Happens, I’m even more curious about Barnholdt’s writing!
Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout (for review) – I’ve heard sooo many good things about this! I already read the prequel and I’m hooked!
Paranormalcy by Kiersten White (purchased) – Another author who will be at the Comic-Con panel, woo hoo! I didn’t have a hard copy of this so I figured it was time to get it — especially with Supernaturally around the corner. My review for this one is here.
Daimon by Jennifer L. Armentrout (free download) – The prequel to Half-Blood. I won’t review this until I review the actual full novel, but you can download a copy here.
Tris & Izzie by Mette Ivie Harrison (for review) – I was excited to get this (hello, gorgeous cover!), but I’ve already read some iffy things about it. I guess we’ll see!

Thank you to Spencer Hill Press and Egmont USA.

Cover Reveal: Supernaturally

Time to admire the pretty!

The cover for Supernaturally, the second book in Kiersten White’s Paranormalcy series was revealed today on Kiersten’s blog. I think it definitely rivals the first with how gorgeous it is. The model is a pretty perfect Evie for me and I love her eyes in this one! I really enjoyed the first book (check out my Paranormalcy review) and I’m excited to jump back into this world soon. If you haven’t already, head on over to Kiersten White’s blog for a look at the entire dust jacket and her adorable blog entry – aren’t they all? – to go with it.
